At last it happened!!! Bike journey Lucknow to Delhi

My mind was made up, ready to drive Gurgaon from Lucknow. I had few setbacks before the day started. I knew I had to cover up all my journey alone earlier it was planned with once of my good friends. My first longest trip ever on the roads that I was not familiar with. I was demotivated knowing I have to ride alone, my bike was not in the condition to ride through all the way, servicing was much needed, but due to diwali holidays workshops were closed, and the day when I have to start the journey, I was servicing my bike. Once I also changed my plan to travel through bike even tried to get the reservation tickets but it was too late for that. At that time Shrek motivated me to continue with the plan and told that it isn't that much far that you cannot reach. Finally the mind was make up, my bike was ready, I half ready. The day was nice. I woke up early at 6:00 am. Got myself ready for the big tirey day. I didn't informed my family about the same, as I knew I could have face resistance from them. Only few of my friends knew about it. I started at 7:00 with a very good raw speed. My first milestone was fruitful, 100 kms were covered in 90 minutes. But at the same time I got my first setback. My bike was punctured. I was lucky, as there was puncure shop on my way. I have to return back around 1 km. The shop owner told me that the tube have been punctured from many places and it has to be replaced. I was not carrying enough money with me. I negotiated with him and the mechanic boy took all that i had with me. Resuming my journey I first ran to the ATM in Sitapur which was just 5 minutes from where i started. A sense of urgency ran through me that I was losing my timeline. I started racing through my journey, eyeing to reach Barielly till 12:00 PM in noon. The journey was going fine but after reaching Shahjahnpur I could not maintain my speed as the road were bad. Somehow I could reached Barielly around 12:30. There was sense of satisfaction as half the way was covered. Since I was on cost saving mode I had poori sabzi in Barielly relaxed a bit and again continued with my journey. The first half was completed sucessfully. I didn't knew that the next half of the journey was going to be tougher one. I began at 1:00 pm with steady speed. targetting to reach Gurgaon by 7:00 pm. I was driving driving driving all the way. Then came the great traffic jams of Rampur and Gajraula. I also saw the place where I missed my bus. That night was in front of me. The long traffic jams were pouring energy from me and increasing frustation. The jam cost me nearly 2 hours. I was well behind my target time. Then came the great raods of Hapur, long and clean enough to land a aeroplane. I sensed that it was my best chance to make up for the time lost. I raced away through the vacant roads covering distance quickly and at last I reached Gaziabad around 6:30 pm. The distance between Gaziabad and Delhi is 25 kms and I knew that I was just about to reach the destination and fulfill my long fantasy. The fantasy which I planned in class VI with my buddies Anurag and Shams. Now I was in Gaziabad and Delhi was just around,  the relief that I was just nearing my destination I found myself caught in the jam once again. The road were full of vehicles and I was just searching for vacant sides to give me pass. I came to know later that the jam was due to the first Formula Race held in India in Noida. My body held up nicely but it was mental fatigue that was creeping on me. Now I just wanted to get away from the jam and feel the clean and big roads of Delhi. Around 7:30 was away from the traffic. I had reached Vaishali Metro Station which is Gaziabad border, but from that I didn't know the way for Gurgaon. I planned to reach Laxmi nagar from there as I knew the way from there. It was couple of wrong directions which made my journey longer, finally I could make my way to laxmi nagar and from there it was like known streets. I was racing through the directions to my next checkpoint Rajeev chowk. Gurgaon is 30 minutes away from there. The mental tiredness was all over me and once again I lost my way through. It was already 8 at that time. Patience was at stake. With the help of localites I found my way to Rajeev chowk and from there on I never stopped before reaching Gurgaon my wish was fulfilled long and clean roads racing above 80 km and reaching 100 and 110 sometimes. I finally reached Jwala Mill, Gurgaon around 8:30 pm and just wanted to relax before entering the room. I had a glass of Juice there and relaxed myself a bit. Reached room around 9:00 pm and finally target was achieved.

There are many people who helped me completing my long time fantasy. This journey was not just biking but one of the targets achieved. It was my one big step to achieve another goal. "Biking through Ladakh".
This one will definitely need a lots of guts, patience and skills. But before that I had some other smaller goals to achieve. "Biking through Shimla" with friends.
